You can hear my heart bleeding from there...
Via rochvelleth - a variation on a theme of course since I took the Scottish version of the quiz

Take the Who Should You Vote For? Scotland quiz

Labour  22
Liberal Democrat  22
Scottish National Party  19
Green  12
UK Independence-41

Your recommendation: Labour/Liberal Democrat

Not much of a surprise there, then. Although a slightly stronger showing for Labour than I might have expected. Probably based on the fact I said that I would like the people running the country to have some experience but of course you can't get that with the Lib Dems until we actually give them a chance to get some!

No shock about the bottom two though. I have a very European outlook - something I think most Scottish people do, more so than the English.

The SNP is a conundrum for me. I would very much like an independent Scotland - but I want to keep the Monarchy. And yes, knowing my taxes are paying for London's Olympics does annoy me slightly.

I'll be voting in a new constituency since I moved 2 years ago but both this one and the one I lived in previously were very safe Labour seats (a LibDem win would require an 18% swing) and I don't really expect that to change - reduced majorities possibly, but not a loss.

I will cast my vote anyway - because in my book, if you don't vote, you don't get to complain. We really should go with the Aussie model and make it mandatory.

ETA: Just out of curiosity I looked at the English quiz after I'd done the Scottish one. One question present on theirs but absent from mine? "The internet connections of suspected illegal filesharers should be suspended." I think that legislation doesn't apply in Scotland. Who me? Relieved? No.... whatever gave you that idea? ;)

Bizarrely enough I was still asked whether there should be a third runway at Heathrow! Go figure!

Bonnie Prince Charlie's brother Henry was the last of the Stuart's to publicly claim he should be King. He pursued a clerical career and didn't marry so the claim passed to the House of Savoy and then wandered it's way around European nobility. The current claimant would be Franz, Duke of Bavaria, though he doesn't advance his claim in any way.

And his claim (if he made it) would be for the British throne of course - not just the Scottish.
