Another fanfic gem
"...she soon found herself at the feet of the iron fist of Sheriff Vaisey of Nottingham."

*wipes tears of laughter from eyes*...

Oh, I needed that... but wait, there's more!

"Blowing the candle out, the room plunged into darkness, freezing instantly as her mind flash backed..."

o_O - The room blew the candle out and froze instantly? "flash backed"?

Best part? This fic already has 2 positive comments - bet you can't guess which canon character the OC is making out with...

That's right, she's dragged from the dungeons, he tells her he's going to have his wicked way with her and despite all the hints at past abuse "she felt herself begin to long for him to claim her as his"...

If I didn't laugh I think I'd vomit.

It's not my ship, I admit it, but I appreciate what other people see in it and will happily read and enjoy it when it's done well.

This is not one of those occasions.

In fact I'm sure even some of the most hardcore fans of this ship must read fics like this and just cringe.

I hope not! lol

Yeah... I'm admittedly not great about leaving comments. I used to be able to write excellent responses to pieces, but for some reason, it's like I've forgotten how and never know quite what to say.

Yeah, exactly-- that's why I've been so quiet in commenting in so many places. Or, if I do think of something, it's already been covered by somebody else, and I don't think that providing the same feedback is all that helpful (other than "I agree with so-and-so," but that still doesn't make for much of a review.

Meh.

I was about to say much the same then I thought - "Wait - we're complaining we get no comments and then explaining why we don't leave any ourselves?!"

Must. Try. Harder.

Even if it's - " Nothing to add except I liked this." I'd be tickled pink to get that on one of my fics, just to know they'd read it. So if that's all I can think of to say I'll do that - can always come back and edit/add more later if it occurs to me what the witty erudite me was trying to articulate!

Yes, you're absolutely right.

I do prefer getting longer reviews, which is why I feel bad when I can't come up with one to leave. But yeah, even just hearing that somebody liked a piece is nice.

I like it when reviews discuss parts of the story... just like one would do in a discussion about, say an episode, "wonder why Allan did that"... "Robin seems to think that..."

lol I'm happy that my beta at least keeps spoilers to her when she reviews because I tend to discuss the whole story with her... also cracks me up when she's all "oh, what will happen?" then ;)

I think that's an unfortunate hazard of the way Reviews are displayed at FF.net. There's no chance anybody who reads reviews for my latest fic before they read the fic itself is going to be as surprised as those who've read it from the start as it was posted.

So you'll be very careful of course when you read all of it here and then go back and comment on individual chapters... ;)
